Thanks for all the tips and replies.
I am definitely not expecting to be able to pick up any controlling jobs (I don't have the money to organise the recognition of my prior ratings/experience, and as pointed out, it really is pointless with only 2 years available in the UK).
I will be returning to controlling when I return to Australia, so I am wanting to keep in the aviation industry in some form, such as an ATSA/ATCA. It would also be great to see how it's done in the UK, compared to Oz. I was hoping some company would want to pick me up, and use and abuse my skills in some form, but with the GFC it seems there's a few people around with more skills that are already recognised in the UK.
If nothing is available it will be bar/temp work where ever I can grab it. Or enjoy myself and let the wife be the bread winner!
Cheers.
