From what i've heard as i don't have kids, the gulf air allowance covers about half the cost. The housing allowance is also short by about 100 bd or so of the cost of a decent house. Guys who are here with their whole family are not saving much at the end of the month. Most married guys live aout of town on the compounds in budaiya or sar. houses in town are more expensive.
