I know a few great bars who take on for that period ... maybe thats the best option for the short time you are here.
Most places won't look at you if you say how long you'll be here and plenty will apply for them on a longer term basis anyway. Plus the short term contracts that will be available will be the "pre professional pilot" style jobs where they pay peanuts and expect you to work all day.
My advice, give aviation a miss for a few months and enjoy waiting on tables or pulling pints!
Though I know safeskys were looking at people for Bristol Filton .. which is/was closing.... that was short term ... give them a shout, but I'd plan on Bar work and think yourself lucky if you get a summer job elsewhere ...
