When the flag carrier of a country with an ENDEMIC (as opposed to isolated) problem of Indian worker abuse, then seeks to recruit Indian Captains to command its nationals, there is unquestionably a connection and certain irony.
As far as I am aware there is no endemic, specific nationality of foreign worker abuse in Australia. If there were, I am certain the Australian government would take the appropriate action, unlike the Saudi government.
