The Fixed Wing SAR project works on the next floor up from me. I think that nice picture will remain just that ................... a nice picture (note -I have no inside knowledge, other than having dealt with Boeing Philly for the last 8 years (on and off) and a rough idea that V-22 is considerably more expensive that other platforms that could fill the FWSAR role).
Low - the project requirement is for a Fixed Wing (AKA Plank-Wing) SAR platform, your comment would be like saying you'd like to have seen a rescue hoist put on a Nimrod.
