Folks, I'm ex-RAF Laarbruch having been there at the station's close in 1999. In 1972 the base was the chain bearer for the local town of Weeze's Kirmes Carnival, a huge honour and unique at the time. The good people of Weeze wish to recognise the fortieth anniversary of the RAF performing this role and my contacts there have asked for help in tracing these two people. Seemingly, they were involved with the football club.
The idea is to invite them to participate in this year's Kirmes. Can anyone help? If so, reply here or drop me a line at
