OK,
I've had too many cups of coffee today, but another thought occurs.
To get more power into a pitot tube quickly, you could couple it up to a waveguide and 'nuke' it the same way we heat water bearing items up in a microwave.
Those guys designing aircraft pitot tubes really have been stuck in the dark ages. Stick with what grand daddy always used must be their motto.
