Aakhan, this may have been true when students were training in the UAE or even in Clark. Considering the standards they have there, I am guessing it was close to 99% with all the time it took, and the fact that even when the Instructors recommended that a student be chopped from the course, Management asked them to continue anyway.
I am probably willing to bet that there were a few students who were rejected in the interview process, but got through anyway for the sake of a cheque that cleared in the Alpha laundering account.
However now that training is being outsourced to Australia I am hoping things will change, and that the figure of 99% will drop, as it usually does in any respectable flying training academy.
