All Cessna POH's come with a additional book "Pilot Safety and Warning Supplements". This book is a compilation of general safety related information applicable to all Cessna piston aircraft.
Section 6.1 has the following note.
"It is an unsafe technique to run a fuel tank dry as a routine procedure"
