The Mk 3 Phase 3 Shack. at Duxford stood "outside" for many years. Lots of pressure' from the Association and the advent of the big hangar got it "inside" at last. The then (?) aircraft curator was an ex RN helicopter-orientated person which may explain why the Mk 2 was refused.
