Please forgive my ignorance, but year 10 commerce taught me that if a business was not profitable it would not be able to pay expenses, and therefore would have to close.
If (pretty much) all airlines are losing money, how are they still operating. If all the airlines are bitching that they cant operate at these fair levels why don't they RAISE prices.
I remember buying lamb cutlets in the 90s for 60c each. Now they are around 5x times that! People are still buying lamb, the market adapted.
Why doesn't aviation do the same?
