Absolutely true. Its known how difficult it is to leave Ryanair's various 'contract agencies'. Therefore the pre-selection process is perfect for Ryanair guys doing a day here and a day there. Then the time in Dubai is lessened and can be done on their 4 days off, no 'sick days' required.
Also advice is often given to hand in the notice only when the required hours are attained,not even 5 shy. As invariably guys are given 3 months of unpaid STBY's for their 3 months notice period instead of 3 months of standard flying hours. Utterly horrible but it has happened to a few unfortunates in the past,who then couldn't join due to not meeting the requirements.So even if you have 2499 hrs,do not hand in your 3 months notice - your not out of the woods yet,your not even guaranteed that 1hr in the next 3 months.
