With the wet season in northern Australia come many spectacular electrical storms. Mark Hamilton is both a professional photographer in Darwin and a Captain with CHC Australia flying Super Pumas from Truscott, Western Australia.
He took a series of photos during a storm in January 2012 with his Nikon D3S, and was good enough to make them available for our calendar. Since this photo has the machine that I am flying, it is the one I chose for March: Helicopter Resources’ Sikorsky S76A++ overnighting from Broome, prior to carrying out crew change flights to the Viking II.
