Crew have been told that A300's G-TTMC and G-SWJW will no longer be flying for Air Scandic. There is no flying program and no hadj this winter. Three Finnair B757-200's will be leased for next summer, two based in Manchester and one in Newcastle. IFD's on permanent contracts are retained, and summer season only cabin crew should be brought back online, for the B757 ART course in April..... they have not been told otherwise.
The A300's operated on the Air Cordial AOC, and were crewed by ex Finnair/NEA flightdeck. The 757's are crewed by 'mainline' Finnair pilots, operating in the UK as part of their Finnair roster.
So as for next summer, it *LOOKS* like B757 + flightdeck X 3 leased from Finnair, Cabin Crew employed by Scandi Resources to crew all three aircraft, operating on the AOC of Finnair......SCY changes all the time - great people, but you never know what is round the corner
