28th may be a little blunt with his response, but that's the long-and-short of it. Unsure of the position down-under but in the northern hemisphere, sponsorship is as rare as rocking-horse droppings... Some limited sponsorships do appear to exist but the competition would be more fierce than a rottweiler on steroids....

Better face it, if the aviation bug has bitten you, get a job, save the bucks and bite the bullet. I had to wait ten years to get my PPL - whether I go any further all depends on the state of the market, which is not exactly favourable.

Your only other option is probably the military - at least that way you'd get someone else to pay for your training, if you get accepted. Whatever happens, best of luck....
