Well, I fear for the day when the majority of the pilots are Chinese. I see their lack of knowledge, incompetence, ignorance every day flying in China. I also wonder why so many expats are being employed in the local airlines, Xiamen, Shanghai, Shenzen, AirChina etc. Could it be because the Chinese airlines need pilots with proper training and safety culture.
Don't know, but boxerpilot obviously knows better.
i doubt this will happen any sooner, (at least in hk)
but having foreign pilots are because they have better english standards than chinese, so can communicate with control tower ppl more easily and less misunderstanding
