It seems that circa 5000 hours and upwards is a reasonable 'ball park' figure for you to get called to DXB for the selection process. Widebody time can only be regarded as a distinct advantage. Take some encouragement from the fact that EK will still be expanding in the future and you will have the opportunity to try again if you ever wanted to.
