my thanks to you all for the info.
So basically if I stay down hogging the oggin performance will be OK. Fuel burn will be awfully high and the MD900 series are not renoun for having plenty of 'Go Juice'. Ponderous reactions to pedal inputs will require some up front thinking so must get brain in for annual service.
Reading elsewhere of the 'Service' that MD provides is a concern but life is an adventure and full of risks.
