It seems there are some here who are unaware of the meaning of pedant. Perhaps they could look it up before bandying it about inappropriately.

Asking for clarification of an unfinished sentence that has no meaning is not even remotely connected to pedantry.

As for the apostrophe - if it is of the Greengrocer's variety; if I owe you £1000 pounds but write £100.0 on the cheque you'd wail like hell. Would it be pedantic to insist the point was put in the right place? Hell no. Same difference. Need 1000Kg of fuel but write 100.0 on the request slip and think it is pedantic of the fueller if sees a difference? It's "Bloody obvious" is it?

Pedantic? Hardly!
