I think that bunch of contractors found that the hotel accommodation worked out a bit expensive: Air Nam only pays your accommodation for duty days, where you spend the night in Windhoek. If you overnight in JHB, CPT or Accra, your hotel room in Windhoek is not covered by Air Nam. I think the number of off days they pay your hotel room is limited, too.
In other words, you have to pack up and leave your room quite frequently or foot the bill yourself.
That is why they wanted to share a house. Apparently the house has been found, the allowance for accommodation was paid out, but the gentlemen stayed in the hotel.
One of those stories with at least 2 very different sides to it...
