I guess this aerodrome is too unknown as there is virtually nothing on the web about it.

The aerodrome in question was Tsuchiura Naval Airbase in Japan, which was located at 36 05' 01"N 140 15' 32"E.

The airbase was built for the British Air Mission to Japan in 1922, and I'm guessing that the straight "road" towards the lake is some sort of transportation for float planes. The information about this (and a previous aerodrome at Kasumigaura) have come from a book called "Brackles - Memoirs or a Pioneer of Civil Aviation" compiled by Frida H, Brackley.
