I met a very lovely lady pilot with an interest in aeros. She accepted an invitation for a flight in the Bulldog I use. She traveled the best part of an hour to get to the airfield where the aircraft is based. Just before she arrived, the instructor who had just used it for a trial flight, grounded it as one of the brakes had failed.
The lovely lady pilot was gracious, but I have not seen her since.
