Well, I got a letter today! Good news, I won't have to visit Cranfield again
Fair enough... I'd just been bungling around hopelessly with the mechanical comprehension paper... was all good fun though!
I found the earlier papers easy - I have A's in A-level physics and maths and did some at uni - except I hadn't a scooby about a handful of questions which frankly seemed of little relevant to aviation, eg, units for measuring radioactivity, and which planets are in the inner orbit or and what's SEPT or something? Why'd they bung those in there? Seperates the sheep from the goats, but I'm not sure sheep have a better aptitude for ATPLs than goats.
Another thing I'm curious about - when the guy read out one of the aural maths questions with 25degs but then said 45degs the second time, which was the right number to use? Was it a deliberate trick? And the questions involving the tristar performance table, should we have assumed a/c packs ON or OFF?
Good luck to everyone who has yet to hear!
