Just to be clear, out of base meal allowances, (or per diems or whatever it's called) is not pay, it's an allowance meant to cover meals. It always bugged the cr*p outta me when cheap pilots argued that it was part of their salary...technically it's not...eat boys eat! That's what it's for!
