If I needed to fly that 550 in the middle of the night in thunderstorms to save a life I would do it with no hesitation
Even the agency whose primary task IS 'life saving' flights (RFDS) would not approach the role with the bravado you are suggesting -
in the middle of the night in thunderstorms
- the risk matrix would be well and truly applied before anything like that occurred. As Wally said, no sane organisation would willingly put lives at risk to complete an aeromedical task. As for doing it despite not being paid....no chance.
I looked at this job and passed on it, so I'll take direction from HC who has more recent & accurate info than I. The day my pay is not in the bank in full and on time is the day I walk out the door.
