There used to be a luxury tax in Sardinia on private aircraft, yachts and second homes. The tax was introduced in 2007 but abolished in April 2009. The number of yachts visiting Sardinian ports dropped by 50% (donīt know about the aircraft) so this tax bore no benefit for Sardinia.
Does anybody know what the specifics for this tax were?
