The type ride is valid in US provided that you get a letter of Validation from AAC ( FAA Panama, they charge $50.00, you have to have a request the letter of validation in writing from AAC)
Once you recive the letter you take it to your FSDO and they will give you a FAA B737 ATPL type.
The answer will vary from FSDO to FSDO, however this is taken from the Inspectiors hand book, and I verified it with my old POI.
