I've lived and worked in Spain, now a Canadian flying in Hong Kong.
Iberia always treated me well, always First or Business, jump seats anywhere.
Air Canada doesn't allow jumps seaters from carriers that haven't a
JS agreement. Additionally, if you buy a ticket and try and upgrade @ the gate, you'll find it difficult. There are some agents that will bend the rules, but thats rare.
