Actually as F/A18 says about the 6th C-17 being signed off at the next NSC, this Govt is in so much trouble they will not want additional expenditure (to the tune of $1bn) next FY. Remember, FY12/13 "back in surplus". I cannot see them committing additional Defence expenditure next FY, and if it comes from existing forward estimates, then that is a
further 1bn out of the existing Defence budget.
