There used to be a 172 based in ratmalana airport just south of colombo.Hired it once from the flying club based there and flew to sigiriya airport.Both are military airports but gave a warm welcome to GA pilots.This was a number of years ago but an internet search for ratmalana airport might throw some light as to any aircraft based there
