Good job we didn't wake anyone with our 0515 go around yesterday. Yes, I'm guilty of it but I'd rather not discuss what would have happened to the Virgin ahead of us if we had rear ended her (no pun intended but PNF was a lady).
Jetdriver, I'm going to say it, go arounds are normal and if you are ahead of the ball, you should be prepared to hit the switches at anytime. Any number of reasons behind missed approaches, Cabin not secured, aircraft config warnings, runway probs, min separation, wake turbulence, the list is not endless but connotations and permutations are vast.
