Ah, but you don't need to time value it as you will get uplifts in line with inflation or whatever is negotiated by BALPA: if you time value, you will be UNDERSTATING the effect!
Ahhhh....but if you
actually work out what those pay-rises have given you and look at what RPI has
actually done over the same time period, over the last 10 years at my company, I have wound up working for 8% less.
As long as people understand what they're doing...
