Hardly depressing brian. If you applied in the first place because of PP24 then you can always retract your offer to BA. The finishing salary for an FO is still in excess of £100,000. I'm sure there are many other reasons you applied to BA. It still remains the best flying organisation in the UK, and one of them globally.
PP24 was around when retirement age was 55. Now it's 65. 10 more years in the company. Hence it's quite appropriate to adjust the increments.
