The company plan to recuit low experience 'wannabe's', preferably with some two crew experience on what is called a 'Permanent Part Year' Contract. Numbers are as yet unknown and I suspect that some vacancies will occur on both fleets.

In broad terms for about £24000 a year you get a type rating, and six months jet experience over the summer months. At the end of the summer you are still paid over the winter but are told to come back the following year if your needed. Hopefully then you get to be on a full contract which at the moment is a starter level of £40,400. This assumes the company require more full time staff as each summer starts.

This means the company can have you flying for half pay over the summer to reduce the risk of trying different business models and then not upsetting you by making you redundant.

Bonding is still for three years or 15K unless they make you fully redundant and tell you your services will not be needed for the foreseeable future, which is usually about two months given the way the game plan changes around here.!

If this interests you instead of a proper job then contact Captain Peter Gilmour (Chief Pilot) at the well publicised addresses for Air 2K.
