The current BA eyesight regulations are inline with the new JAA regs entirely, this is not what is stated in the recruitment brochure but my information is the new, corrected version.
After aptitude testing you could expect to wait upto 2 months for Final Board.
If you pass that it could be over a month before your BA medical, done at Gatwick Airport itself, and if you already hold a Class 1 you do not need to go back to the CAA medics. You then need a dental examination and will not be considered for a place on the scheme until you get blood test results back and a satisfactory report from your dentist. Phew... then after all that you could expect to wait anything from weeks to 6 months to start training depending on what places are available and where.
