PS Just check you're not on AFPS05 as there are some funny rules surrounding this and EDPs. Have a look at the link to the DIN at Para 10. Also you will start accruing a new pension under RFPS05 which is 1/70th of your final salary for every year you work plus 3 times the final annual pensionable amount tax free. Also, if you retire at below age 60 then the pension is held in abayance until age 65, but if you retire at age 60 or above then you get an immediate pension. Finally, FTRS have just been given the nod that they can work to age 65 if fitness is maintained - Dad's Army, here we come, can I be Private Godfrey?!!
