I suggest something similar for anyone who happens to be in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Perhaps the place to talk about this stuff would be a 'group' on a well known and popular social networking site?

WRT start dates, I had a conversation with a bod at my chosen FTO yesterday. I didn't expect him to know about a start date for me, specifically; but I did ask him when they were expecting their first 'BA cadets'. He couldn't tell me. He did, however, mention that this was being decided as we spoke.
