I still cannot fathom why the BA holding company bid was not seen as anti-competitive .....
IAG's bid for BMI does still have to pass final regulatory approval. However, you can be reasonably sure that behind the scenes, even before the final takeover was announced, that IAG had made some preliminary enquiries to see if the purchase was
likely to be approved.
