They won't be able to pay for a feasibility study never mind extending the runway and terminal buildings.These are the original plans which with the current state of the economy means we'll be lucky to see any of this in our lifetime,
Typical negative attitude, actually Cork coco has paid for the study and it will be carried out. It wont be extended however until the 3 million passengers threshold is passed and when funding is allocated, it will be extended simultaneously when work begins on moving the cargo area to the current GA area. The GA area will then be moved directly West of its current location, work will also then begin on a parallel taxiway. If passenger growth then continues the option will then exist to extended the current Terminal to either the North or South which will see the Old Terminal demolished. Obviously none of this will happen for a good few years, but its good for once to see in this state that planning already exists.
