Sheer awesomeness?
I think that the 747-8 is a very nice aircraft, probably the most beautiful. But for a flying cigar/dart? The 777 - 200LR looks awesome.
The range of that plane is just awesome. Is the 300ER better than the 200LR in other respects, or is the 200LR better but only in range?
Certainly the 200LR is newer, isn't it? Released 05? I remember flying one in 07/08 thinking "What a nice new looking plane!" not realizing just how new it was.
In comparison, the Airbuses just look plain ugly. The Fokkers and MDs look better.
