I agree that the 330 is the wrong aircraft, not just for ORK JFK but also for SNN JFK , SNN BOS several potential routes from Dublin. From the decision to purchase 747-100's in the 60's to the infamous 767's of the early 90's to trying to sustain year round Shannon US services with A330's EI have been getting it wrong. Howver constant political inteference from successive Governments has also been a factor. It'll be intersting to see what'll happen if the Government offloads it's stake in EI. From what I'm hearing this may not be as far away as people think.
