I've applied for Melbourne too, I am keeping all of my options open!
Last week I caught up with a friend who does CC for Tiger. She didn't specify the hourly rate, but I did find out that Tiger do not get any penalties or loadings, nor do they get any sort of public holiday rates. It is a flat rate all year round, regardless of whether you work christmas etc She also said you get a $5 meal allowance per shift, but you have to pay for your own parking which comes out of your pay. I also wanted to know the same as you - if Jetstar and Tiger have the same rates because they're both done through Altara. But she said most-likely not, because Altara is a recruiting company but they do need to apply each individual airline's conditions still. I think Jetstar would probably have somewhat better pay because they are a sub-group of Qantas, unlike Tiger who are totally seperate and are a true budget airline. Hope this helps
