EXPERIENCE AT LUTON
Departed yesterday the 22nd after being on a cruise to the Middle Est and Asia. I have to say it was the worst experience of travelling through Luton I have ever had. Two check-in desks for the Monarch flights to Gibraltar and Malaga (A320 and A321) but two check-in desks for gold card holders and drop bags etc. Then just before the escalators to security being shouted at by people (I say the word loosely) about hand baggage and liquids. For a moment I thought I was at a Nuremburg rally! Then security just totally overwhelmed - did there best with all 10 stations open. Fortunately the flight left on time. Spent 49 hours in the UK - 49 too many!
I will be putting my aviation thoughts of airlines and airports in India and Asia and Gatwick South and Heathrow on the Self Loading Freight forum in due course if anybody is interested. All I can say it was a most pleasant experience with one exception and being treated like human beings and people actually smiling!
