Just had a look at the online arrivals and departure boards.
Between 7:00 and 8:00 there are 16 arrivals and 17 departures. Add another 15 minutes to that and departures increases to 25 with 1 further arrival. At that point the departure board could do with a page 2. So that’s 42 planned movements in only 75 minutes excluding biz jets, a rate of 1 movement every 2 minutes.
Stansted's total is 36 for the same 75 minute period.
I wouldn’t like to be passing through immigration or security at Luton early today.
