Personally I find these attempts to differentiate between "forward" and "side" slips erroneous and unhelpful. It seems to come down to somebody somewhere's attempts to over-complicate life.
Couldn't agree more. Well, apart from the spin which requires a rate of yaw at the stall, not just some static yaw angle.. some a/c will stall cleanly in a full slip, some will not. But that's me drifting and over-complicating
