Iberia hasn't hired pilots since 2000. The job market for pilots is saturated in Spain. I read that it is estimated that 3500 spanish pilots don't have a flying job.
It is easy to say that pilots are bringing down the industry but when there are so many pilots and the next guy will do it for less, airline management really has the upper hand.
