Jon Nichol still appears on the occassoional debate on Radio 2 and 4, but not so much elsewhere. I think he was wheeled out during Libya. Remember that John Peters co-wrote Tornado Down with Jon Nichol.
The "SAM suppression" was supposed to be a joke, BTW.
