QF A380's have all been prewired with WiFi antenna's by Airbus at manufacture.

Perhaps there were other issues involved, maybe this
"Currently up to two channels per aircraft over a high-gain antenna (from October 2011 four channels will be available)" has had a bearing on the decision.
