Some exemptions to our 10 knot tailwind rule are strictly for convenience, not safety.
At a previous Eruo carrier I flew for, exemptions for the 10 knot tailwind was strictly for safety and not for convenience where mountainous terrain was present. We operated out of one way in and one way out airports without compromising safety of operation.
