I would expect the company to do nothing OTHER than say "all the right things" and "back the crew" and I would expect nothing other than Monday Morning Quarterbacking from PPRuNe. People love to vent their frustrations here. If you expect anything else you are naive.
When have you EVER seen the company NOT back the actions of the crew? Did you ever see any public repudiation of the crew who went around in HKG and almost stalled and hit Lantau Island because the autopilot wasn't on an nobody noticed? Of course not, because if the company DID, it would bring disrepute to its training abilities.
If it turns out that the crew's actions were proper, justified and in accordance with SOPs, the company will proudly make the world aware of that fact. If it turns out otherwise, no one except company insiders will ever know.
